Its CNY again. This year.. err.. not as good as previous years. boo-ed
So similar to all previous years, went to Cinema, River Hongbao, Loyang Tua Pek Gong...
This year, we watched 2 movies... so far. Ah Long Pte Ltd and CJ7...
Ah Long Pte Ltd was, just like all other Jack Neo's Flim, was indeed funny and have some rather interesting topic to sour sour the government. The storyline is also rather simple... It shows how a teacher got married with a Ah Long Head. And all the stuffs happening around them etc etc.. There is an twist in the ending that turn the story another way round.
As for CJ7, unlike all other Zhou's Show, this show do not have alot of silly Kung-fu moves and the irritating exaggerating screams of an auntie... Some shadows from Shaolin Soccer and Kung-fu do present dou. This show shows how a poor family survives, until when they found a little toy from the outer space that sorta changed their life... Injected with a very touching ending is an almost guaranteed tear-bomb.
Overall,
Ah Long Pte Ltd... 3.5 Stars~
CJ7... 5 Stars! (If I could give higher I would)
I am quite disappointed with Ah Long Pte Ltd despite the fact that its funnier than CJ7. Well, to me, probably Jack Neo had repeated too much of his old jokes, it seems to be a lil bit lame for me... After all, CJ7 is such a cute movie lah!
There is another show in the waiting queue.. Probably the Basketball show starring Jay Chou. Den in the movies to come, The Leap Years starring Wong Lilin seems not bad.. Wanna watch?
